Junior Miss to host Trunk Show
Anna Alyce Tarver, Choctaw County's Junior Miss, will be traveling to Meridian July 19 to compete in the state program for the title of Mississippi's Junior Miss.
To kickoff this trip, there will be a "Trunk Show" for Miss Tarver at the Choctaw County Library on Friday, July17 at 6 p.m. Alyce will be performing her talent piece and modeling her attire that she will be taking to Meridian.
Alyce is the daughter of Sue Cutts Tarver of Weir. She will be a senior at French Camp Academy where she is involved in numerous activities from academic to extra-curricular.
The Choctaw County Junior Miss Program is sponsored by the Twentieth Century Club, who hopes that everyone will support Alyce by writing letters, e-mails, and attending the trunk show.
Preliminaries for the state program will be Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24. Alyce will compete in Fitness and Self-Expression one evening and talent the other evening. Finals for the top ten selected in the program will be held Saturday, July 25. It is at the end of this evening's competition that Mississippi's Junior Miss will be announced.
