Children invited to New Direction Center March 16-20
All children are invited to the New Direction Center, located at 36 O'Kelly Drive, Weir for fun, food, music and ministry on March 16-20 from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Bro. and Sis. Gavin of Columbus will bring the ministry each day from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. and Bro. and Sis. Davis of Kilmichael will teach music. Children may be dropped off from 8:30 a.m.-9 a.m. and picked up at 3 p.m. Parents are invited to attend Friday, March 20.

Bluegrass Gospel singing March 21

Full Circle Knit/Crochet Club March 24
If you like to knit or crochet or would like to learn, we invite you to attend our meeting every Tuesday from 9-noon a.m. at the Choctaw County Extension Office. There is no cost to join. Each person will be responsible for supplying his/her own yarns and needles.
Democratic executive committee to meet March 26
The Choctaw County Democratic Executive Committee will meet March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Choctaw County Library. Anyone interested in helping local Democrats work towards the best of interests for everyone in Choctaw County is encouraged to attend.
Ladies' Conference March 27
Providence Baptist Church, located on 415 Rd., will host its 3rd annual Ladies' Conference Friday, March 27 at 7 p.m. Speaker and music director will be Yvonne Cook from Nettleton. Easter Beauties and Cuties Pageant March 28
Little Miss Mississippi presents Easter Beauties and Cuties Pageant in Philadelphia, March 28. The pageant is open to all girls 0-20 years old and boys 0-12 years old. Contestants who win their preliminary will advance to the state competition in June to represent their hometown. Trophies, crowns, banners to be awarded. The Word of Life Church of God in Maben, located at Crowley Dr. would live to invite everyone to a singing, March 29 at 5 p.m. The singers will be from their church. Refreshments will be served after the singing. Music director is Pat Mullis.
HCC Chorale and Connection auditions March 30, April 20
The Holmes Community College Choral Music Department announces auditions for the HCC Concert Chorale & the Holmes Connection! March 30 and April 20 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. in the Montgomery Fine Arts Building on the Goodman Campus. The Choctaw County Branch of the NAACP will meet April 4 at 6 p.m. at Mt. Herman Methodist Church, 150 Pine St. Ackerman. Guest presenter is Wilma Jones Scott, area director, with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The meetings are open to the public.

The Choctaw County Economic Development Foundation will hold its annual banquet on Tuesday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Center on College Street.
Tres Tipton will speak about operations locally at North American Coal.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Mark Keenum, President of Mississippi State University.
