Christmas time is coming and the Town of Ackerman plans to host the annual Christmas Parade on Thursday, November 1 at 6 p.m.

This years theme will be Christmas - New Hopes & New Beginnings, with the deadline for submitting entries falling on November 21.

Prizes for first, second and third place religious float winners and first, second and third for non-religious float winner will be awarded along with Best Decorated Car and a Miscellaneous winner.

Santa Claus will make a special appearance at the Choctaw County Library during the Holiday Open House from 2:30 to 5 p.m. before the parade.

The parade route will begin at Ackerman High School traveling West down Main Street to the Highway 15 intersection traveling North to Cherry Street continuing on to the Baptist Church then ending up back at AHS.
