James to represent county at state Jr. Miss event

Chelsea Chaelynn James will be packing her bags.

Chelsea, Choctaw County's Junior Miss, will soon head to Meridian to represent Choctaw in the state Junior Miss Program. To kick off her trip to the state event, she will unpack her bags for the annual Choctaw County Junior Miss Trunk Show.

The Trunk Show for Chelsea will be at the Choctaw County Library on Thursday, July19, at 6 p.m.

She will be performing her talent piece and modeling her attire prepared for the events at the state program in Meridian.

The Choctaw County Junior Miss Program is sponsored by the Twentieth Century Club, who hopes that everyone will come to support Chelsea as she represents our county.

Chelsea will be traveling to Meridian Sunday, July 22 to compete in the state program for the title of Mississippi's Junior Miss.

Chelsea is the daughter of Chris and Heather James of Ackerman. She will be a senior at Ackerman High School where she is involved in numerous activities from academic to extra-curricular.

Preliminaries for the state program will be Thursday, July 26 and Friday, July 27. Chelsea will compete in Fitness and Self-Expression one evening and talent the other evening. Finals for the top ten selected in the program will be held Saturday, July 28.

It is at the end of this evening's competition that Mississippi's Junior Miss will be announced.
