Making a good first impression is always crucial and the Town of Ackerman has decided it is time to revamp the Welcome to Ackerman signs.

After several years of withstanding the elements, the Welcome to Ackerman signs were beginning to peel and fade with age. When the signs were originally purchased Community Partners, a board of local businesses and organizations, believed they were purchasing a more durable product that would be weather resistant.

When the project originated several organizations and numerous businesses raised money for community improvement projects including funds to pay for the welcome signs. The remaining money left in the Community Partners budget will assist with the purchase of the new signs.

Each of the four signs located on the outskirts of Ackerman will be replaced with durable metal signs, that will hopefully better withstand the elements and welcome visitors to Ackerman for years to come.
