Be Creative at Choctaw County Library

The Choctaw County Library invites all children to Be Creative at your Library every Thursday in June at 2 p.m. This week's activity will include fun singing karaoke.
This year's summer reading program will include a variety of creative arts and crafts along with special guests. Also, there will be a t-shirt drawing every week.
The summer reading program is sponsored with the Choctaw County Extension Service.

Word of Life 4th Sunday singing

Word of Life Church of God will be having the 4th Sunday singing June 28 at 5 p.m. The church is located on Crowley Drive in Maben. Singers will be the Barnes Family Quartet from Nort. Night of Fellowship and Fun

Providence Baptist Church is the place to come for fellowship and fun Sunday night, June 28 at 6 p.m. All ages are invited to the cookout and picnic. Many games will be played ending with a water balloon battle/contest. This event is a sendoff leading up to Vacation Bible School that will begin July 12-16. Bro. Randle Poss is the pastor.

Ten Star All Star basketball camp

Final applications are now being evaluated for the Ten Star All Star summer basketball camp. The camp is by invitation only. Boys and Girls ages 10-19 are eligible to apply. NARFE to meet

The National Active & Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. June 25 at Barnhill's Restaurant on Highway 12 in Starkville. This month's guest speaker is John Hubbard, Senior Safety Specialist with the Mississippi Farm Bureau. Hubbard will be speaking on home safety. This is the last meeting for the summer. The next NARFE meeting will be held in September.
