Coyt Gordon

Funeral services for Coyt Gordon, 89, were held Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Weir Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Jordan and Rev. Jim Garner officiated. Burial followed at Mt. Zion cemetery.

Gordon died Dec. 24 at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Survivors include: two sons, Coyt Wayne Gordon, and John Allen Gordon; two daughters; Bonita Martin and Christine Raybun; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five steps sons and their families.

Pallbearers were Justin Raybun, Stephen Doroh, Gregg King, James Craig, John Triplett, Jason Gordon and Ray Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers were Bubba Weeks, Harvey Black, Billy Clark, R.T. McKnight, Phil Evans, Harvey Cook and David Warren.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion cemetery fund and Panhandle School House.

Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
