The Lord has blessed us with rain again for our yards and gardens. He always sends rain before it’s too late, if we only have faith. We need to honor and praise God for taking such good care of us.

The Weir Golden Heirs met on Tuesday with 13 in attendance. Bro. Curtis Guess had our program. We always like to have the Guess meet with us. Bro. Guess has drove the church bus for us seniors several times to pigeon Forge and to Branson MO. We went to the senior citizens celebration at both places. We sure miss those times, but a lot of our group has gotten too much in bad health to travel anymore and we can’t get out younger seniors to even come to our meetings. Some of the ones on our sick list are Bernice Simmons, Mildred Chandler, Eunice Lucas, the Carvers, R.T McKnight, and the McGees. These people need our prayers. These are the people that you could depend on to be at Golden Heirs, so this has really brought our attendance down. Bernice Simmons went to see her Dr. in Kosciusko Monday. She was so sick, she has infections in her throat and lungs. I talked to her this morning and she is still sick, but maybe a little better.

Tony Chandler came and took Mildred Chandler and Robert to eat at Home Place Saturday night. They had really good food and a large crowd. We are so lucky to have a place to eat close to home.

Frances Martin and Vicky Britt visited Billy McGee after Golden Heirs and took him and Linda a plate. Linda had gone to see her Dr. in Starkville. We’re at the age we all go often but most of the time its to see our Doctors.

Frances Martin went to see her Dr. in Louisville Tuesday. Got a good report on her blood work.

Donna McGee visited her mother Martha McGee several days lately.

The camp meeting is going on at Camp Lebedon this week. Cathy Burchfield and Frances Martin have attended several times. The visiting preacher is from Canada. He has really brought some good messages. The singing specials were really good also. THey had different singers every service.

Sammie Weir from Jackson is here camping at Old Lebanon. Her sister Becky Carruth from Summit came with her, but she tripped over a light cord and broke her wrist and had to be carried to Starkville to the doctor, then some of her family came and too her home to Summit.

Francis Martin went to church Sunday at old Lebanon and ate lunch with Sammie Weir and several members of her family, also the pastor and family and the visiting preacher. We had a good time fellow shipping together.

Bobby and June Martin are on their way home from Alaska after spending two months there. Bobby says the fishing wasn’t too good there this year, but they got lots of rest and relaxation.
